Dr Novakovic-Agopian has long-standing clinical and research interest and expertise in assessment and cognitive rehabilitation/reintegration of individuals recovering from brain injury. She directs Rehabilitation Neuropsychology program at the TBI-Polytrauma Interdisciplinary Clinic at SFVAMC. Her research focuses on development and evaluation of theory driven interventions for rehabilitation of executive control functions after brain injury, PTSD, and in healthy aging, and on ecologically valid multilevel (cognitive, emotional, functional and neural) outcome assessment methods. For the past several years she has been directing multi-site research program investigating multilevel outcomes following theory driven, goal-oriented cognitive rehabilitation training for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, PTSD & healthy aging.
