Rachel Heeb, OTD, OTR/L received her doctorate in occupational therapy from the Washington University School of Medicine, Program in Occupational Therapy. She has experience practicing as an occupational therapist in independent living centers and non-traditional, community-based settings. She is a member of the Enabling Mobility in the Community Research Laboratory through Washington University's Program in Occupational Therapy and is currently in her fourth year of the Rehabilitation and Participation Science PhD program at Washington University. She also has experience working with people with mobility impairments and has developed and led group-based exercises programs. Dr. Heeb's research primarily focuses on how the built environment influences the community participation of individuals with mobility disability.
