Sandra Combs is a the Program Capstone Coordinator and an Associate Professor in the Speech Language Pathology Doctoral Program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Dr. Combs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech-language pathology and audiology at the University of Kentucky in 1988, and an MA (90) and PhD (09) in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Combs has worked clinically for over 31 years in private practice, schools, as well as serving on faculty at the University of Cincinnati from 2009-2019 and joining RM in 2021. Her research and teaching interests include language development and disorders, language-based literacy disorders, phonetics, autism and AAC, speech sound disorders in preschool children, parent/teacher collaboration and coaching, the use of ultrasound for correction of /r/ and /s/.
