Bridget Fowler King PT, DPT, NCS graduated from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2011. She completed her Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program through Casa Colina/Rancho-USC in Pomona, CA and joined the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) in 2012. She then obtained her Neurologic Certified Specialist (NCS) in 2013. Dr. Fowler has experience in all settings of neurologic practice, including outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and day rehabilitation. With her experience she has gone on to pursue a research career and has worked with the KTEAM (Knowledge Translation for Exercise and Activity symptom Management) at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab since 2018 to help facilitate evidence into practice with implementation research. She is currently pursuing her masters in Health Services and Outcomes Research at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and is passionate about being involved in the physical therapy professional organizations and advocacy. Her professional goals are to strive to further contribute to excellence and healthcare research in order to advocate for improved cost effective access to quality care, address allied health workforce issues, and foster implementation of evidence-based best practice into the clinic sooner.
