Joy Williams, PT, DPT is a physical therapist, clinical educator and researcher specializing in neurologic physical therapy at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento. In addition to caring for patients, she has extensive experience mentoring and training clinicians in the care of patients with neurodegenerative conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and Alzheimer’s disease. She is a faculty member and mentor in the Kaiser Permanente Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency. She is an experienced researcher in rehabilitation interventions for people with multiple sclerosis. Her area of interest lies in the area of neurodegenerative disease seeking to empower patients and clinicians alike in the power of exercise and non-pharmacologic strategies for symptom management to improve quality of life.
