Farhad Haeri, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC, RMSK is an assistant professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University physical therapy program and have over 30 years’ experience as a physical therapist, a researcher, and an educator. He has earned his transitional doctoral degree of Physical Therapy from University of Saint Augustine Florida in 2004 with emphasis in Orthopedic Manual Therapy. He also became certified in Orthopedic Manual therapy and obtained a board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by American Board of Physical Therapy Clinical Specialties. He has further obtained a certification on Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging of Musculoskeletal conditions. His current teaching responsibilities include all Musculoskeletal Orthopedic courses, Differential Diagnosis and Physical Agents. His research interests include areas in orthopedic physical therapy, musculoskeletal diagnosis, and biomechanics.
Dennis Torre, PT, PhD is an assistant professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University physical therapy program. He earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Hunter College in 1984; an MA in Ergonomics & Occupational Biomechanics from New York University in 1990, and a PhD in Health Sciences with a specialization in Movement Science from Seton Hall University in 2017. His teaching responsibilities include courses Motor Control/Motor Learning and Neuromuscular Physical Therapy courses. His research interests include gait-related motor control issues, particularly as to the effects of trunk stabilization training on anticipatory postural adaptations and spatial-temporal parameters.
