I am a research assistant at the Shirley Ryan Affective and Emotion Rehabilitation (SAfER) Lab. I graduated from the University of Illinois - Chicago in Psychology (Cum Laude with Highest Distinction). After graduating in 2020, I joined the SAfER Lab and Center for Aphasia Research and Treatment as a research assistant in 2021. One of my responsibilities has been administering computer-based virtual therapy for persons with aphasia. During these treatment sessions and interactions with the participants, I realized the need for making computer-based virtual therapy more accessible and usable. This led me conduct a pilot study investigating what the specific needs are there in improving the virtual therapy software for persons with aphasia.
