My name is Richard Preus, and I am a current medical student at the University of South Alabama's College of Medicine. I am a part of a physical therapy research lab at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and that is where my research is conducted. My research is focused on joint-specifc biomechanical contributions in children, young adults, older adults during jump tests. I am also involved in research that is examining a novel test that can predict maximum squat strength in patients with osteoporosis. My goal is to design treatments which are at an interface of medicine and exercise for maximum clinical outcome related to physical activity.
