Britanny Hamama is a third-year medical student at Central Michigan University College of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in biomolecular science with a minor in medical anthropology from the University of Michigan. She was a leader for the Orthopedic student interest group at her medical school and is the co-leader of “Big Sib Little Sib,” a mentorship program that matches first-year medical students with second-year students who can help navigate the challenges of medical school. Britanny is also very involved in the Chaldean Church and enjoys leading youth group and organizing a Bible summer camp for elementary-age children. Britanny plans to go into orthopedic surgery and is passionate about helping her patients recover more quickly by partnering with other rehabilitation professions who can assist her patients after they leave the operating room. In addition to her passion for helping patients recover quickly and fully, Britanny also has a strong interest in orthopedic research. Her enjoyment of being on a team and working collectively towards a common goal has also furthered her interest in interprofessional education research.
