Dr. Evans is a seasoned leader experienced in developing and running clinical and academic programs. She is internationally-recognized expert in rehabilitative robotics, and her ability to bridge researchers to the rehabilitative clinic is unmatched. Furthermore, she has overseen the development of numerous clinical programs, most recently the Intrathecal Spinraza Injectio for Patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and the Interdisciplinary Palsy Evaluation and Management programs within the Department of Pediatrics at George Washington University.
Additionally, from 2007-20018 Dr. Evans was selected as a “Top Doctor” by the Washingtonian, and from 2013-2017 she was selected as a “Top Doctor” by the Northern Virginian. She is a recipient of the Heartsongs Award from the Washington DC Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as the Local Host Award from the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Currently, Dr. Evans is the Division Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She holds the Distinguished Chair in the Department of Pediatrics.
