Sheila Park (she/her) received her B.S. in Psychology and Social Action with honors from Palo Alto University in 2020. Sheila is currently a 2nd year Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University in the Trauma and Neuropsychology areas of emphasis. Sheila is a practicum student at the Gronowski Center who provides accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP) to underserved adult populations who have experienced complex trauma and the Wellness in Aging lab of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Sheila is also a research assistant within the Risk and Resilience Research lab of Palo Alto University and the Human Rights in Trauma Mental Health Program of Stanford University. Her clinical and research interests include complex trauma, older adults, health psychology, and posttraumatic growth. Sheila will be working as a practicum student within Dr. James Moses’ Psychological Assessment Unit at the VA Palo Health Care System. Sheila aims to eventually work within a multidisciplinary setting researching and treating the long-term health, cognitive, and psychological impacts of complex trauma in older adults. Sheila is a student affiliate of APA Divisions 20 (Adult Development and Aging), 38 (Society for Health Psychology), and 56 (Trauma Psychology) as well as of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA).
