I have nearly 40 years of experience as a researcher and clinician focused on brain behavior relationships with a particular interest in language, attention and executive functions. Much of my work has focused on the neuropsychological research aimed at understanding the impact of aging, disease, and cerebrovascular/cardiovascular disease on cognitive and mental function. I am the Associate Director for Research of Boston GRECC and have been co-Principal Investigator of Rehabilitation Research and Development’s Center of Excellence focusing on the impact of co-morbid traumatic brain injury and psychological stress disorders in Veterans (TRACTS). I have an established publication and funding records and I have successfully mentored many early and junior investigators.
