George Ghafari is a first year medical student at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He moved to the USA from Lebanon in 2017 to further his education. In 2021, he received a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He worked as a research coordinator for the department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2021-2022. His charges involved helping various primary investigators navigate IRB applications, maintenance of research projects, managing patient recruitment, administering and scoring clinical assessments, as well as writing research protocols. The focus of the research projects were musculoskeletal injuries, stroke recovery and outcomes, and pain management.
