Ananda is currently a Research Fellow at the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS). After exposure to a rehabilitation project during his Master years, he became interested in human movement and the brain. He then completed his PhD in Neuroscience from the McGill University in Canada, where he studied the mechanisms behind sensorimotor learning in humans. In his work, he combines behavioural techniques, robotic devices, functional neuroimaging, and non-invasive brain stimulation. Currently, he is interested in the robotic-based somatosensory intervention in stroke survivors.
