Russell is based in Singapore. With a passion for science and a heart to serve, choosing medicine as a career was a straightforward decision. Not just the idea of helping those vulnerable in society and a professional skillset to serve the wider population, it is the personal yet professional doctor-patient relationships which has kept him going in this profession. Russell has always had a curiosity for research , starting since a research internship pre-university. However, he believes that gaining clinical exposure, which is currently ongoing, is essential before delving into the field of research so that he can gain a better understanding of the field and practices which research can improve on. In addition, the field of rehabilitation specifically in the local context in an interest, seeing the wide number of people it covers and the huge potential for people's quality of lives to be improved.
