Randy has a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and is a Registered Social worker (RSW). His experience in the field of social work has included life skills training, individual and group counselling, as well as program development and implementation. While on hiatus from social work, Randy participated as a member of the Canadian National Cycling team and became a certified Personal Training Specialist (PTS) for 5 years. During this time he owned and operated a personal training business that specialized in outdoor bootcamps for teens. Randy is currently working as a Clinical Research Associate with the RehabPsychLab at Lawson Health Research Institute. Here he provides clinical support to persons with neurologic conditions through the online mental health services offered by RehabPsychLab. In addition to these credentials, and what he finds most valuable, is his 33 plus years of lived experience with a T6 complete SCI. As a means of keeping conversation going between his SCI peers, Randy and his wife Melanie are running a website, t6talk.com, for the SCI community
