Bachelor's at Physiotherapy from the Bahia School of Medicine and Public Health (1984), a PhD in Health Sciences (2012) and a Master's in Medicine and Health (2008) from the Federal University of Bahia. She is currently a professor at the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB) and Professor at the Bahia School of Medicine and Public Health (EBMSP), at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the master's / doctorate. She has clinical experience, working mainly on functional disorders in adults and the elderly and carries out research in the area of neurology, with an emphasis on the impact of stroke on functional capacity, quality of life, as well as neurorehabilitation.
