Asst Prof Dr Muhammad Adil Zainal Abidin is a Public Health Medicine Specialist, currently holds the post of Asst. Professor in Department of Community Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuantan, Pahang. Prior to serving in IIUM, he served as a medical officer in various government hospitals. He has worked with a wide array of government and non-government agencies related to public health. His professional interests focus on the field of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, particularly the mental health. His main expertise is in biostatistics in which he has conducted multiple statistical consultation to government and workshops. He is also actively participate in research and programmes related to non-communicable disease mainly mental health. He has co-authored books, published peer-reviewed articles and written health related articles for public. He also has extensive experience as a speaker in public health topics to audience of various age groups. He obtained his Doctor of Public Health in 2019 and Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2016 from University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Master of Science in public health (MSc) from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2015 and his MBBS from IIUM in 2010.
