Amy has been a board certified music therapist for 24 years. She is a clinician in the post-acute inpatient neuro rehabilitation program at On With Life and has been in that role for the last 20 years. Amy received her Bachelor of Music in music therapy at Arizona State University. She completed advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy from the Center for Biomedical Research in Music at Colorado State University in 2006 and was the first music therapist in Iowa to become a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Amy provides assessment, individual sessions, cotreatment sessions with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy, and group therapy interventions that support and enhance all aspects of the persons served rehabilitation journey. Amy is also a member of the American Music Therapy Association and the Iowa Chapter of Music Therapy where she has served as an officer.
