Alexandra Cayias received her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Utah and has worked in an outpatient neurologic rehabilitation setting for 10+ years. She provides treatment in the areas of cognition, executive function, speech, language and swallowing deficits resulting from a variety of neurological conditions. Functional, patient-centered care is at as the foundation of her practice. She has experience with chairing the Brain Injury of Utah's annual conference for 5 years and leading TBI and Aphasia support and skills groups. Currently, she has received advanced clinical training in facial rehabilitation for peripheral facial nerve injuries. She participates in projects and on workgroups addressing teletherapy, technology and general practice improvement. Alexandra especially enjoys her time volunteering for the speech pathology graduate program at the University of Utah and establishing community connections to better the lives of her patients. Her personal experience with and diagnosis of autonomic dysfunction provide her with a deepened insight into her patient's therapy journey.
