Thomas Cayias, MOT, OTR/L work with individuals recovering from, and living with, complex neurological diseases and disorders and spinal cord injury at the Neilson Rehabilitation Hospital at Utah Health. Thomas earned his master's degree from the University of Utah. Thomas is the assistive technology coordinator, and his current projects include the use of novel human machine interfaces to improve independence after traumatic injuries, implementation of assistive technology during the inpatient stay and supporting the transition home, as well as functional applications of 3D printing in a medical setting. Thomas has worked at the University of Utah for 5 years and volunteers with the University of Utah's spinal cord injury adapted recreation program TRAILS. He co-leads an adult support group for individuals living with SCI and is a member of the clinical faculty for the University of Utah, College of Health.
