Dr. Skiba is an assistant professor in the College of Nursing Biobehavioral Science Division at the University of Arizona. The goal of her research is to connect cancer survivors to the tools and skills to live their healthiest life. Her research has emphasis on healthy aging, women's health, rural populations, and dyadic health. She completed her graduate education at the University of Arizona and a post-doctoral fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Skiba has formal training in nutritional sciences, health promotion, behavior measurement, and epidemiology and uses an integrative approach to research to understand the synergistic effects of nutrition, exercise, energetics, and bioactives and their roles in mitigating accelerated biological aging in cancer survivorship.
