Associate professor at Institute of Neuroscience, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim, Norway (2014-2019). Board-certified physician in Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Graduated in Germany, neurology residency at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden, and Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark; PhD at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway. 142 scientific publications in PubMed. Main research topics include coma and disorders of consciousness, acute and critical care neurology, and the history of neurosciences.
