Brad Kurowski, MD, MS is a rehabilitation medicine physician with expertise in brain injury and pediatric rehabilitation medicine. His research interests include understanding how individual, injury/disease-related, socio-environmental, medical, behavioral, therapy, and lifestyle factors affect health and wellness after injury and in disease. He also has expertise in programmatic development focused on building interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes for patients and their families. He is particularly interested in how neuroscience principles can be applied to develop and cultivate high-functioning, creative, and innovative teams. Currently, Dr. Kurowski is a tenured, associate professor, co-founder and director of the Brain Recovery after INjury (BRAIN) Health and Wellness Center, faculty development liaison, site director for the rehabilitation experience for medical students, associate editor for the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation, editorial board member for the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and treasurer for the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
