Ami Mac MD is the Director of Translational Medicine at the Stanford Genome Technology Center and the Herzenberg Immunology Lab. Dr. Mac performed her Physiatry training at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan / Wayne State University. She has served in the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) on the Leadership Council, has been involved in medical student and resident education nationally, and has written a guide to musculoskeletal ultrasound distributed by Sonosite internationally. Her clinical expertise are in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Interventional Pain Management. In addition to her clinical background, she has expertise in analytics, has advised multiple healthcare companies and startups in business strategy, product development, digital health design and marketing. Her most recent interest is in understanding fatigue-causing conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (aka. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) and post-viral illnesses.
