Dr. Daniel McGurren’s clinical experience has been largely based in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy treatment. He has spent the last years gaining knowledge of treatment of orthopedic and sport conditions of all ages. His interests include the treatment and management of athletic injuries and orthopedic management at a high level, including golfing injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and concussion management. His accomplishments include certification in Graston Technique, dry needling, and 3D movement analysis and performance systems furthering his progression as an outpatient orthopedic clinician. He also started and is running the post-concussion rehabilitation program in Tempe Sports Medicine, working closely with the Return to Play Clinic. He has obtained APTA board certification of specialization in orthopedic physical therapy. He has had special interest in teaching and has become an adjunct faculty member at Tufts University in the Department of Physical Therapy the School of Medicine. He has also participated in teaching in the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Future interests in clinical practice include expansion of the post-concussion rehabilitation program, APTA certification in specialization in sports physical therapy, and progression of research interests.
