This is a one-day (8-hr) instructional course that provides non-research clinicians with knowledge, skills, and live practice of neuromodulation strategies and protocols. The course focuses on techniques that can be readily implemented in a community-based neurorehabilitation setting. These include: transcranial direct current stimulation transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS); transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS); evoked potential operant conditioning (EPOC), and a phantom neuromodulation training device (ERIK). Participants will learn about the extensive evidence that supports the safety and clinical efficacy of these noninvasive neuromodulation techniques for enhancing functional recovery in people with stroke, spinal cord or brain injury, multiple sclerosis, or a variety of other chronic neuromuscular disorders.
