Stakeholder engagement is germane to the field of implementation research. In rehabilitation research, stakeholder input can inform the selection of interventions to be implemented with specific populations and can guide the development of implementation strategies. In this symposium, we highlight the value of stakeholder engagement in rehabilitation implementation research and showcase three examples to depict how rehabilitation clinician-researchers can leverage involvement from stakeholders to optimize their research activities. We also describe strategies used by the Learning Health Systems Rehabilitation Research Network (LeaRRn) to engage eight large health systems partners in implementation and quality improvement projects.

Describe the value of engaging stakeholders when conducting rehabilitation implementation research.
Identify the various types of stakeholders who are important to include in rehabilitation implementation research.
Identify 2-3 strategies for engaging stakeholders throughout the planning, conduct, and dissemination of implementation research in the rehabilitation field.
