This symposium will highlight initiatives related to trauma informed care, community reintegration, returning to work, and navigating physical and cultural differences that ensure equity in recovery. The symposium will provide a lens for participants to view their own models of care in hopes that opportunities to build equity into burn rehabilitation will be identified and pursued. People living with burn injury and with lived experience with homelessness will join experts in equity research and programming during the symposium.

Learning Objectives:

Understand common gaps in equity after burn injury
Be able to describe a bundle of services to promote return to livelihood after burn injury
Create a framework for culture competence relative to your population to promote equity
Understand the impacts of homelessness on research participants, our biases and research objectives
