The purpose of the symposium is to describe how to engage providers and persons living with a spinal cord injury in the research process to incorporate their experiences in the development of resources that are clinically appropriate and useful for consumers. The presentations discuss methods of participant engagement and provide contextualized examples used in research. The panel consists of researchers, clinical providers, and a consumer.

Describe the development of consumer informed employment resources for Veterans living with SCI.
Identify approaches to engage participants in the research process, including development of employment resources.
Understand the importance of participant engagement in SCI research.
