Spatial neglect is a disorder of lateralized spatial attention that commonly affects stroke patients. It has multiple adverse consequences if untreated, such as poorer functional outcomes and increased risk of falls. Despite widely available research and practice guidelines being available, spatial neglect is still under-detected, not assessed correctly and under-treated. A multi-disciplinary, international group is working together to improve assessment and treatment for people living with spatial neglect. This symposium will share gaps, actions and future directions.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to define spatial neglect.
Upon completion, participants will build capacity in understanding how spatial neglect is assessed.
Upon completion, participants will be able to share what is currently being done by a multidisciplinary, international group to address practice and research gaps.
Upon completion, participants will have ideas on how to respond to the call for action.
