Mild TBI are a public health issue due to increased awareness of the long-term effects, and sometimes prolonged recovery. Mild TBI can impact education, work, and overall quality of life. This study sought to identify patterns of cognitive-communication deficits in this group, and evaluate the effectiveness of individualized cognitive-communication treatment. Current cognitive-communication rehabilitation studies will also be reviewed for translational clinical implications and use.
