The purpose of this symposium is to describe underserved populations within the TBI community; enumerate ongoing disparities; assess equity in clinical practice guidelines for traumatic brain injury, make visible and unpack the Black experience in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and the institutionalization of racism in the rehabilitation journey, and explain recent and ongoing research that will help to bring awareness to these issues with the hopes of eliminating these disparities.
