Treating fatigue across diagnoses: An essential part of rehabilitation Fatigue is a common complaint following many different diagnoses and can have a significant impact on everyday life. Although several interventions have been evaluated, such as pharmacological treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, and metacognitive strategies, there is currently insufficient evidence to support a gold-standard for treatment in clinical practice. Consequently, management of fatigue continues to pose a challenge in rehabilitation. This symposium will outline three different approaches to treatment, that have shown promise for the management of fatigue across different adult rehabilitation populations. The approaches presented are: energy management, physical exercise and light therapy.
