Conductive Education is a motor focused educational pedagogy. Although CE has been available in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe for many years, in recent years, there has been a shift to include technology and collaborations within the deliverables. This symposium will highlight how CE is relevant to todays adults and children with motor impairments. The presenters will describe feasability, teacher/provider training, and embedding technology advances into CE programming.

Learning Objectives:

Understand how Conductive Education can provide cost effective motor education to promote life long independence
Appreciate specialized training required of teacher and therapy professionals
Understand how CE can be embedded in a school setting, in a center, and in camp based settings
Appreciate how technology can be used to enhance the learners expereinces in conductive educaiton
Describe how CE improves the capacity and performance of learners with motor impairments
