Dr. Robert Adler is Chief of Endocrinology at Central Virginia Veterans Affairs Health Care System and Professor of Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. His research includes work on osteoporosis screening and management in men and on osteoporosis in persons with mobility disorders, such as spinal cord injury. He was co-chair of the ASBMR Task Force on long term bisphosphonate treatment of osteoporosis and a member of the Endocrine Society Male Osteoporosis Guideline committee. He has served as an expert panelist for previous versions of the ACR glucocorticoid induced osteoporosis guideline process.
