Dr. Marcy B. Bolster is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.She is the Director, Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH; since 2012).With a strong interest in training and education Dr. Bolster has devoted her career to the training of rheumatology fellows, internal medicine residents and medical students. She values the importance of mentorship in her own professional development as well as through her commitment to sharing her dedication to patient care and education in the rheumatic diseases with learners at all stages of training. She has helped to train over 50 rheumatology fellows. She is the recipient of the ACR Distinguished Program Director Award (2019) and was named the Mass General Brigham Outstanding Program Director (2019).
Dr. Bolster has held leadership roles in ACR curriculum design and assessment, ACGME Milestones, and the ABIM Rheumatology Exam Committee, Rheumatology Specialty Board and Council. She has served as Chair, ACR Committee on Training and Workforce (COTW, 2012-2015) and had a leadership role in the graduate medical education (GME) component of the ACR Adult Rheumatology Workforce Study (2015).She is an at-large member of the ACR Board of Directors (2021-2024).
