Dr. Bombardier is a Master of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and a Distinguished Clinician-Investigator of the ACR. She was the founding director of the clinical epidemiology program at the University of Toronto and a co-founder of the Institute for Work & Health. She was also the co-scientific director of CAN (Canadian Arthritis Network): a national center of excellence and is the past Director of the University of Toronto Rheumatology Program.
For the last 10 years, her research has focussed on real-world evidence of safety and effectiveness of new drugs. To this effect she created “The Ontario Best Practice Research Initiative (OBRI)” which is a Province wide registry of Ontario patients with rheumatoid arthritis with clinical data linked to ICES.
