Loreto Carmona is a rheumatologist and clinical epidemiologist and Chair of EULAR Advocacy. She worked at the Spanish Medicines Agency, as NHS researcher, as full-time rheumatologist, and created and directed the Research Unit of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology. She lives in Valencia, Spain, and directs the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health (Inmusc, Madrid). She has published over 350 papers and participates in numerous Spanish and European projects and courses. She has been in the board of national patients’ and professionals’ organisations.
