Joel Wright graduated from the University of The West Indies (Mona Campus, Jamaica) Faculty of Medical Sciences with an M.B,B.S degree (Hons.) in 2016. He subsequently worked as a house officer, rotating through Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatric Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology for a year. He then spent the following year rotating through primary care, and in-patient as well as out-patient Pulmonology, Dermatology and Rheumatology.
He then completed a year of Internal Medicine Residency at the University of the West Indies (Mona, Jamaica). While in Jamaica, he was a member of the research committee of the Lupus Foundation of Jamaica and also participated in research regarding Lupus Nephritis.
He is now a second year Internal Medicine Resident at the Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey.
