Dr. Eldon Jupe has over 35 years of basic and clinical research experience in the areas of biochemistry, human genetics, toxicology, and biomarkers in autoimmunity. He currently serves as the Chief Research and Laboratory Officer at Progentec Diagnostics, Inc where he leads the clinical research program and directs the highly complexity CAP-CLIA clinical laboratory. Prior to joining Progentec, Dr. Jupe was a co-founder of InterGenetics Inc. and served in multiple senior executive roles, including VP of Research, VP, and CSO and director of the company’s high complexity clinical laboratory. The research team led by Dr. Jupe developed and commercialized a proprietary clinical test for breast cancer risk assessment. Dr. Jupe holds certification as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) and Clinical Consultant (CC) from the American Board of Bioanalysis. He has extensive experience in directing high complexity clinical laboratories testing for autoimmune disease, cancer genetics, pharmacogenetics, and toxicology. He earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University, an MS in Genetics and a BS in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and completed post-doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.
