Kaye is currently a Senior at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls majoring in English Education and Psychology. She is committed to creating positive environments where adolescents can learn how to advocate for themselves while also learning about mental health and well-being. Kaye was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis at the age of ten and has become passionate about getting students that need extra support in school the tools they need to succeed. Her interest in research has stemmed from her own experiences and has been further developed in her role in Young Patients’ Autoimmune Research and Empowerment Alliance (YP AREA) as a member of the evaluation and scientific dissemination committees.
