Dr. Andrea Daamen received her PhD in Immunology from the University of Virginia before joining AMPEL BioSolutions as a Postdoctoral Researcher. She has since transitioned to a Staff Scientist at AMPEL with a focus on developing immune profiles of pre-clinical lupus models based on gene expression from lupus-affected tissues. In her research, Dr. Daamen has utilized a variety of bioinformatic tools to analyze gene expression from mice that develop spontaneous lupus-like disease in order to better understand how pathogenic processes in lupus mice translate to human lupus patients.
