My personal experience with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and the exciting research projects in the lab of Dr. Salah-uddin Ahmed, piqued my interest in autoimmune diseases and motivated me to join his lab as a graduate student. Currently, my research interests are focused on the role of PCSK9 in RA pathogenesis and characterizing Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis synovial fibroblasts under inflammatory milieu.
