I have a PhD in biomedicine at the University of Cordoba (UCO) and two Masters at the University of Granada
and Córdoba, Spain. I hold a post-dococtoral position (Juan de la Cierva program) at UCO and I am the co-director and CSO of the Start-up Shortcut Scientific based in Cambridge. I have an H-index of 14, 618 cites and 31 peer-reviewed publications in the highest impact journals in the field (80% of them in the first Decil/Quartile-JCR). I am the main or last author in 17 of these publications. I colaborate with national and international groups as a result of three research stages during my PhD and postdoc training in centres such as Lupus Unit Research of London (UK, 6 months), BioHealth Research Institute of Murcia (IMIB)(Spain, 3 months) and Department of Medicine at the Univ. of Cambridge, Smith Lab (UK, 24 months). I have participated in 10 national and international research projects so far leading one of them at Univ. of Cambridge as PI, and authored 5 patents related to genomic biomarkers of autoimmune diseases showing transferable skills from research. I have been the supervisor of three master students and one PhD student. I also have a large experience in communication and dissemination, including 182 oral and poster presentations in national and international congresses (60 as the first or last author), along with numerous outreach activities
