M Rashedul Hoque (Rashed) is a biostatistics PhD researcher working on reducing bias in causal inference. His current research focuses on studying medication non-adherence and its consequence on Canadian arthritis patients. He expects that health authorities can utilize his robust research findings, which could improve the quality of life of arthritis patients in the long run.
Rashed is doing his PhD at the faculty of Health Sciences, Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada. He is also a Biodtastistics PhD trainee at Arthritis Research Canada. Before that, he did an M.Sc in Statistics from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, and a B.Sc in Applied Statistics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Rashed has both the academic and industrial experiences of working as a biostatistician. He achieved several scholarships from SFU and UBC. Rashed first-authored several peer-reviewed publications, including a recent publication in Arthritis and Care. He wants to pursue his career as a Biostatistician contributing to research related to inflammatory diseases.
