Dr Sabina Ciciriello completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1998. She trained as a rheumatologist in Melbourne, gaining Royal Australasian College of Physicians Fellowship in 2006. She is the Director of the Rheumatology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She also works in private rheumatology practice at Melbourne Health. She is one of a group of four rheumatologists that provide an outreach rheumatology service to Mildura, in Northwestern Victoria. She was granted a PhD by the University of Melbourne in 2012. Her PhD focused on improving and measuring the impact of patient education about methotrexate treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. She is currently a member of the OPAL Scientific Advisory Committee.
