Ardy Fenando is a second-year rheumatology fellow at the University of Kansas Health System. He graduated from the Michigan State University Internal Medicine residency program in 2021. His interest in rheumatology began during the first year of internal medicine residency when he had an opportunity to do a rheumatology elective. The complexity of diseases, holistic approaches, long-term relationships with patients, and advanced translational research inspired him to pursue a career in rheumatology. In the future, he will continue to do what he loves the most, which is caring for patients with rheumatological conditions, and continue to be part of advancements in rheumatology.
