Ashley Krivohlavek is a Oklahoma native and proud member of the Cherokee Nation. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master's of Arts degree in 2013. After graduation, she went to work for her family's business. In 2014, she was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.
Following her PsA diagnosis, Ashley decided to begin advocacy work. "Knowing that there is emotional support, disease education and treatment options are essential to having disease control. My goal through my advocacy work is to give each person the tools they need following diagnosis."
Ashley has been featured in WebMD, Women's Health.com, Reader's Digest and more. She sits on Global Healthy Living Foundation's Patient Board for Arthritis Power and is the co-chair of the Central Region Advocacy Board for the National Psoriasis Foundation. She's worked with the Arthritis Foundation and with Arthritis National Research Foundation. In additon, she wrote an op-ed in support of step therapy reform in Oklahoma and spoke with local lawmakers about copay accumulator reform.
When she isn't advocating, she continues to work for the family business. She is also pursuing a graduate certificate in Population Health. Ashley enjoys swimming, reading, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
