Dr. Beth L. Jonas is the Reeves Foundation Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Jonas received her medical degree from SUNY, Upstate Medical Center and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at The George Washington University, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training in Rheumatology at Emory University. Dr. Jonas is a clinician educator and has an active rheumatology practice, where she sees patients with a wide spectrum of inflammatory rheumatic disorders. She teaches rheumatology to medical students, residents, and fellows and is actively involved in curricular development to train both physicians and advance practice providers in rheumatology. Dr. Jonas was awarded the American College of Rheumatology Distinguished Fellowship Program Director Award in 2015 and has received a Rheumatology Research Foundation Clinician Scholar Educator Award.
